COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 has introduced significant uncertainty and challenges into everyone's lives. Understanding and supporting the role of evidence in policy has never felt more important. Yet, inevitably, the Evidence & Policy community (authors, reviewers and editorial team members) will be affected by the changes relating to the current pandemic. So, we are continuing to accept and process papers but we want to acknowledge that some papers may take longer than usual to undergo review and editorial assessment.

In response to the challenges we are all facing, we are extending the standard times that we offer reviewers to assess papers and authors to make changes (and we're happy to discuss further extensions, if needed). We also understand that it may simply not be possible for some of you to undertake reviews or paper changes at this time. If, on the other hand, you are submitting a paper that you feel has particular relevance to the current situation, please email the journal editors, Kat Smith (katherine.smith.100@strath.ac.uk) and Paul Cairney (p.a.cairney@stir.ac.uk), so that they are aware and can prioritise assessing your paper.

With best wishes to all from the Evidence & Policy Editorial Team.
