Introducing the new Co-Editor of Justice, Power and Resistance
We are pleased to introduce the new Co-Editor of Justice, Power and Resistance: Nasrul Ismail of the University of Bristol, UK.
Justice, Power and Resistance is an international, peer-reviewed journal promoting critical analysis and connecting theory, politics and activism. Working towards social justice, state accountability and decarceration, the journal is primarily a vehicle to make accessible and advance challenging research and scholarship that can be utilised to critically inform contemporary debates and policies.
“As a new Co-Editor of Justice, Power and Resistance, I warmly welcome interdisciplinary contributions from Global North and Global South scholars on contemporary issues such as the increased cost of living, climate change and state violence. These discussions will enhance the epistemological and nuanced discussions on social (in)justice issues that we currently face globally. I also welcome early career researchers, doctoral students and activists to publish with Justice, Power and Resistance; we are an inclusive and supportive journal for new talents to embark on their publishing journey.”
Nasrul Ismail, incoming Co-Editor
We’re also pleased to welcome Dr Sergio Grossi (Complutense University of Madrid, Spain) as Associate Editor.
Professor Christina Pantazis (University of Bristol, UK) has also changed her role to Consulting Editor.
The new editorial team members will work alongside Co-Editor Ida Nafstad (Lund University, Sweden) and Consulting Editor Vicky Canning, (Lancaster University, UK).
We thank outgoing Co-Editor Jon Burnett (University of Hull, UK) for his dedication and excellent stewardship of the journal. Jon, along with Ida Nafstad and Lisa White (Liverpool John Moores University, UK), was pivotal in the successful relaunch of the journal in 2022.
