New journals indexed in Web of Science
We are pleased to announce that our journals, Consumption and Society and Global Social Challenges Journal, have been accepted into the Emerging Sources Citation Index of the Web of Science.
The Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) includes journals selected for editorial rigour and best practice. Journals indexed in the ESCI are discoverable via Web of Science and we are delighted that the important social research published in our journals will be visible to a wider audience.
Julia Mortimer, Bristol University Press’s Journals and Open Access Director, commented, “It is wonderful to see both journals indexed in the ESCI as inclusion is an important step towards greater visibility and internationalisation.
The fact that these journals have achieved this after only three years of publication speaks volumes about the fantastic editorial teams, their and BUP’s commitment to the highest quality standards and the amazing communities that support these journals.
We are especially pleased to see the mission led Global Social Challenges Journal, our first open access journal, reach this important milestone. It is further proof you can champion genuinely global and interdisciplinary publishing without compromising on academic rigour."
