Young people and contradictions of inclusion critically assesses policies addressing young people's transitions from school to employment. It presents and discusses the findings of seven EU-funded projects involving 13 countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Andreas Walther, Ph.D. is researcher at the Institute for Regional Innovation and Social Research (IRIS) in Tubingen and holds also a part-time position in the Department for Social Pedagogy at the University of Tubingen. He has been coordinating the European Group for Integrated Social Research (EGRIS), a research network on young adults, since 1993. His research interests are youth transitions and policies for young people in comparative perspective.
