Criminal Justice

Crime and justice are issues of central political and public concern in contemporary Britain. Policy Press has an established and impressive list in criminal justice with a focus on fighting for social justice and social change within the criminal justice system.

Our books in criminal justice provide the highest quality research on systems in the UK and around the world, offering new insights and contributing significantly to policy and practice debates happening globally. Books on the list cover a range of topics in criminal practice including policing, prisons, youth justice and rehabilitation.

Meet the Editor

Rebecca Tomlinson, Commissioning Editor

Since starting at Policy Press over six years ago, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some of the most important contributions to the debate on social challenges around the globe. I feel lucky to be a part of the team at this time of great change and to be a part of the beginning of Bristol University Press.

As the commissioning editor to our ever expanding Criminal Justice list, every day I get to work with people greatly passionate about what they do. It is an absolute pleasure to see the culmination of their work and I am proud to be a part of this unique platform, publishing books that will make a difference to society.
